As you have probably all heard through the various media platforms, salons are not expected be open until early July. We are sure you are all as disappointed as us that we cannot open any earlier but this is to ensure all our safety during this uncertain time. We would like to assure that we have been doing all we can in preparation for reopening and we have been purchasing PPE equipment and getting the salon ready to adhere to social distancing regulations. We are not 100% how this will work but what we do know is the salon will be run very differently once we are allowed to open. We will have less staff and clients in the salon at one time and we no longer expect to have a waiting area. We are presuming the best way to minimise clients in the salon is to encourage you to wait outside the salon at least 2 meters apart from anyone else and we will come out to collect you at your appointment time. This allows us to control the numbers in the salon and the time to deep clean our sections ready for the next client. We have invested in disposable & biodegrade-able gowns and towels. We also have booties for your use on entering the salon. We ask you to bring your own face mask as we encourage you to buy washable, reusable ones. We will have a few disposable masks and gloves to buy on the desk but we can’t guarantee the stock of these. No mask means no appointment. We will ask you to wash your hands on arrival and we will do the same. Appointment times will be extended by 15 minutes to ensure that we can guarantee your safety and the safety of our staff.
Therefore the salon will not be running to full capacity and additional costs will have to be included into our existing pricing structure. We are proposing a £10 surcharge to all appointments to cover our additional costs and time while we have to adhere to Coronavirus regulations. This will obviously be reassessed regularly and we will look forward to reducing these costs once we can.
We have had messages from clients already asking if they can book in for July. Unfortunately we cannot offer this service until we get a fixed date for our return. Currently we don’t know how many staff will be allowed to work at one time so therefore a booking system is impossible to compile at this time. If you would like to be put on a waiting list then please message us your name and brief details of the service you would like. We are happy to do consultations over the phone or through message so please feel free to contact us with any questions. As soon as we have a fixed return date we will be telephoning all clients we have had to cancel during lockdown and we hope to run the fairest booking system possible. We trust that you will understand our hands are tied and dates are likely to change but will we endeavour to offer you the best service we always have as soon as we possibly can ❤️
