Salon Gossip

Yet again we have had a busy month of September and although we’ve all been enjoying the Indian summer, the salon has been inundated with colour changes which have largely been influenced by the seasons changing. We have all loved the fashion weeks that have taken place this month especially London Fashion Week and with fashion and hair been so closely linked, we have taken inspiration from the various shows in London. Talking of London, Mary and Lacey attended a Social Media course where they were given lots of ideas and tips for the many social media platforms available. We are a bit late with our blog this month but better late than never!!! We’ve had so much going on in the salon, lots of weddings, hair ups and training going on, as well as our very successful charity day. The summer holidays are over and after an eventful August, we are looking forward to the coming months and all the exciting things we have to look forward to! First let’s catch up with all our summer events. We had our Charity day on Saturday 9th August which was an amazing day. The weather was lovely and we had a really good turn out from our clients, some of who made cakes for our cake sale. What a lovely few weeks of sunshine we’ve had which has meant busy times for #teamwilliamandmary!!! Lots of parties and weddings for all our clients and our stylists have been given the chance to express their creative sides with lots of big hair which has been a major trend this season. Another month over and more exciting news and things ahead to share with all our clients at William and Mary in our monthly blog so here goes: It’s our 3rd birthday in August and we have decided to do something different for our annual party. This year we have organised a charity event on Saturday 9th August in support of two worthy causes. The Little Princess Trust, a charity that raises money to provide wigs for children and St Ives First School who would like us to help purchase some play equipment. We are booking appointments for blow dries with all our stylists for a minimum donation of £10. Our beauty therapist will also be offering a file and polish for a minimum donation £8. Time for another #teamwilliamandmary update…….things have been very busy in our Ashley Heath salon this month, we have a new member of the team and are very pleased to have Natalie on board as our new Art Director.  Natalie has come to us from a salon in Ringwood and she has been hairdressing for 15 years.  She brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge to add to the creative force behind William and Mary.  She has been working with Wella for the last few years and therefore she knows how to get fantastic results with the exciting new colours and techniques released by Wella.  Natalie is a fashion forward talented stylist and we are very privileged to have her working with us……Welcome Natalie!!!! We have had a busy start to 2014 at William and Mary and we have lots of exciting news to share with you which is why we have decided to start writing a blog.
